🧽 How to use the 3-step kit

A simple method, taking just a few minutes per card, using only the contents of the kit.

1️⃣ Dusting: gently wipe a microfiber cloth over the front and back.

2️⃣ Cleaning: spray the cleaner onto the microfiber cloth (never directly on the card), wipe the matte areas, then use a cotton swab for the corners and edges.

3️⃣ Reviving the holo: apply a small amount of gel to a foam applicator, dab it onto the shiny area without pressing, then buff with a clean microfiber cloth.

❓ FAQ – TCG Holographic Cleaning & Shine Pack

Can the kit damage my Pokémon cards?

No, when used as directed. The products are grading-safe: they clean without altering the ink, cardboard, or holographic layer. Always spray onto the microfiber cloth, never directly onto the card, and if you are a beginner, perform a test run on a common card.

Is this kit suitable for holo, rare, or vintage cards?

Yes. The kit is suitable for holographic, reverse, full art, rare, vintage, or standard Pokémon cards, as well as other TCGs (Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, etc.). For older cards, work even more gently: use very little product and no pressure.

What defects can this kit correct or improve?

Surface defects: dust, fingerprints, greasy residue, dull haze, and loss of gloss. Superficial micro-scratches are visually reduced. However, the kit does not repair creases, damaged corners or edges, deep scratches, or cardboard yellowing. For a curved card, see our flattening kit.

How many cards can be cleaned with a single kit?

A kit generally allows you to clean or restore 50 to 100 cards, depending on the condition of the cards and the intensity of the cleaning: a very small amount of product is sufficient per card. The microfibers, applicators, and cotton swabs are also available individually to refill your kit.

Is this kit suitable before grading (PSA / CGC / BGS)?

Yes. PSA, CGC, PCA, and BGS grade four criteria: centering, corners, edges, and surface. The kit acts on the surface: a clean, shiny card avoids losing points due to marks or dust. Are any special skills required to use it?

No. The kit is intended for both beginners and experienced collectors alike: just follow the 3 steps detailed earlier on this page (dust, clean, revive the holo).

Is there a risk of leaving a residue or film after cleaning?

No, provided you finish with a buffing using a clean microfiber cloth: the products evaporate or wipe off without leaving any film or streaks. The card can then be placed directly into a sleeve, a toploader, or sent for grading.

What is the difference between the spray and the gel?

The spray cleans: it removes fingerprints, dust, and greasy residues, especially on matte areas (back, frame, borders). The gel restores: it is reserved for glossy areas (holo, reverse, full art) to revive the mirror effect and reduce superficial micro-scratches. Always use the spray first, then the gel.
